Local by default
Audio is recorded in memory, transcribed locally on Apple Silicon, and discarded. There is no telemetry, analytics, or crash reporting in the Mac app.
Private voice-to-text for people and teams. Dictovo does not run commands or act for you; it turns speech into text locally.

Privacy model
Dictovo is designed for people and companies who cannot treat voice data as disposable cloud traffic. In the current Mac app, your speech and dictated text never leave your Mac. Language files come in; your content does not go out.
Audio is recorded in memory, transcribed locally on Apple Silicon, and discarded. There is no telemetry, analytics, or crash reporting in the Mac app.
After the first language download, dictation keeps working offline. Extra world languages download local language files once when you choose them.
Transcripts, dictionary entries, and history stay local to the user or business. Optional license checks do not include audio or dictated text.
Security-minded design
Dictovo is designed with NIS2, ISO 27001 and EU Cyber Resilience Act principles in mind: local processing, minimal data sharing, controlled updates, license visibility, and user-owned data. This is not a certification claim; it is the product direction behind the architecture.
For MKB teams this means less voice data exposure, a clearer vendor boundary, and a workflow that is easier to explain to security, finance, legal, HR, and operations stakeholders.
How it works
Dictovo sits in the background and types into the app you are already using. Email, ChatGPT, Notion, Slack, Word, browser fields: Dictovo inserts text. Optional local text tools can clean up, translate, or transform selected text when you explicitly trigger them; Dictovo does not click, send, or navigate for you.
Hold your shortcut for push-to-talk, or double-tap for handsfree dictation.
Supported languages are processed on your Mac. Extra world languages are enabled after a one-time local language download.
Text is inserted into the active field. Optional cleanup, translation, and selected-text transforms are advanced features where supported.
App examples
Hold your shortcut, speak naturally, and Dictovo inserts text in the active field. The win is speed: fewer pauses, less copy-paste, more complete notes and prompts. It does not send, click, trigger automations, or run commands for you.
Use Dictovo in the business tools teams already trust.

Say: write a clear client reply about the planning
Typed locally
Hi Sophie, thanks for your message. The planning still works for Thursday, and I will send the final details today.
Productivity winClient replies move faster because the text lands directly where you work.
Say: short team update, release is ready for final test
Typed locally
Quick update: the Mac release is ready for the final test. I will share the download and checks later today.
Productivity winTeam updates are captured while the work is fresh, without switching tools.
Say: create a meeting note with three decisions
Typed locally
Decisions: privacy stays local, the founder deal starts on Mac, and Windows follows after the first stable launch.
Productivity winMeeting notes become more complete with less after-call typing.
Say: note the follow-up after a call with an MKB customer
Typed locally
Follow-up: customer wants three seats, asks for a Stripe invoice, and wants confirmation that audio stays local.
Productivity winCRM admin gets done immediately, so follow-ups do not disappear after calls.
Say: add a short note to the Q3 revenue row
Typed locally
Q3 note: strong growth came from business inquiries, especially from LinkedIn campaigns.
Productivity winSpreadsheet context stays intact while notes are added as text.
Say: turn my rough idea into a prompt
Typed locally
Write a short sales email for a privacy-aware MKB decision maker who wants to test Dictovo locally.
Productivity winPrompts become longer, clearer and faster because speaking is lower friction than typing.

DownloadFor teams
Teams lose time turning thoughts, calls, notes, prompts, and follow-ups into text. Dictovo removes that typing friction: speak once, the text appears directly in the app, and sensitive voice input stays local on the Mac.

Questions
No. In the current Mac app, speech and dictated text stay on the Mac. Network traffic is limited to one-time language downloads and an optional license check that does not include content.
The first release is for MacBooks and macOS. Windows is planned next, with iOS and Android after the desktop product is stable.
The current Mac build supports 37 local languages. Common European languages work locally after setup; extra world languages can be enabled with a one-time local language download.
Dictovo does not click, send, browse, or run workflows for you. The core is local voice-to-text. Optional local modes can clean up, translate, or transform selected text only when you explicitly trigger them.
Yes. It is especially useful for teams that write a lot: client emails, CRM notes, prompts, meeting notes, support replies and internal updates. The benefit is faster input with less cloud exposure.
Founder Lifetime Basic is for the first 500 buyers and covers the core local voice-to-text workflow. Direct translate, more advanced local text tools, up to 4 devices, and business controls belong in paid Pro or Business editions.
